Acclaimed WA salon Beauty Bar Byford has been awarded ABIA WA/NT State Salon of the Year (4 Treatment Rooms Or Less) 2021, representing the phenomenal impact this salon has had a state level.
On Sunday the 14th November they joined Australia’s leading beauty visionaries to take some time to celebrate the industry’s best with the ABIA livestream announcement. With the impact of COVID-19 the industry has been faced with unprecedented economic and logistical challenges, but as we head into 2022 there is renewed positivity and solidarity as salons and spas rebuild and reconnect.
Launched in 2012 by esteemed trade visionaries Mocha Group, the ABIA’s, combined with the AMIA’s, are the trusted national award platforms which provide a benchmark of excellence across both specialist and individual categories across beauty, aesthetics and make-up expertise with 2021 seeing more entries than ever. Winners were due to be announced in August at The Star, Sydney at the hotly anticipated gala awards event as a welcomed chance to celebrate. However, with border restrictions in place the innovative team at Mocha worked to pivot to an online announcement, with the beauty industry gathering at spas and salons all around the country to celebrate on a smaller scale.
Beauty Bar Byford salon was introduced in 2016 by local Mother and Daughter duo Kirsty and Jessica to offer something outside of the typical salon. This gorgeous space offers four luxurious rooms with an inimitable homely and welcoming feel. All customers are made to feel like family and that they count as not just a number on the page, but an actual part of our extended family. The salon offers all treatments from a simple eyebrow wax right up to advanced facials, IPL, skin needling and skin tightening procedures for all ages. They have also added cosmetic tattooing, fillers and injectables for those more focused on expertise around anti-ageing. This humble salon has proved so successful within the community that were proud to welcome a second salon in Armadale to increase their reach throughout WA.
While obviously disappointed to have cancelled the opportunity to present their award on stage, Owner/Publisher Linda Woodhead was thrilled to recognise their expertise;
